We all have our own likes and dislikes, we can’t help it, we were all made differently, but this keeps life interesting.  So as a Five14 staff, we thought we’d let you in on some of our favorite things about Nepal. Here’s a list from the staff of one thing we love about Nepal and a few statistics to let you learn a little more about our country. Enjoy!

Asmita – the mountains and nature

Assa – the culture and hospitality

Yaks are native to the Himalayan range and there are an estimated 200,000 yaks in Nepal

Yagya – there are friendly people by nature everywhere

Sally – the indigenous people and all the different cultural practices

there are 92 different living languages spoken in Nepal

Rita – there are too many things she loves to pick just one

Ashok – the diversity of people *there are over 250 people groups in Nepal*

Mick – Nepal is an open universe, anything can be done

Bhuwan – the mountains because they show the love and creation of God and they give me relaxation and enjoyment because I can feel God’s love when I look at them

Jharana – the nature, specifically the rivers and mountains

There are 6 major rivers in Nepal

Mukti – the greenery

Suburma – the hospitality of the Nepalese people, I feel like I should be like that too

Samita –

the stories told by the people *Nepali folktales can reveal much about traditions, activities, emotion, superstitions, customs and inhabitants.
