• We’re a group of Nepalese and internationals who love adventure and the people of Nepal – especially the people. We think everyone should experience the beauty of this nation and help the people while they are here.

Through responsible travel, we believe community partnerships result in a better life for everyone. We want to leave Nepal better off than we arrived. We think you do too.

  • Stay in our Bed and Breakfast and experience great coffee with food at our on-site cafe. Then, Join us on an adventure and trek that will give back to local people.

  • What we do

We work in communities in Nepal that not only suffer from poverty and exploitation, but also have potential to achieve a better future and impact the area and villages surrounding them. Through adventure tourism, we are working to develop communities to give children a hope and a future.

Ultimately, we are working to spark a movement that will result in Nepal being transformed to a place where potential and hope is realized.

    Why the name Five14?

    Pretty Cool

We want to take on the toughest challenges. Rock climbing routes are classified on a scale and 5.14 is one of the hardest ratings. For rafting, a category five rapid is the most difficult.

Although all Five14 adventure tours range from super easy (take a ride in an air conditioned jeep through the jungle) to more strenuous (trek where others don’t, stay with families, and learn to cook on wood fires), we like the grading scale of Five and 14, because doing anything in Nepal is an adventure!

    Preventing exploitation

Children between the ages of five and 14 are at the highest risk for exploitation. We focus our efforts so kids can grow up in safety, health, and one day change their communities.

    Our Ethos

Jesus said in Matthew, "You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God."

  • Travel Different

We believe your trip to Nepal can be about more than taking some great photos, ticking it off the bucket list, and going home. You can actually help stop exploitation in Nepal. By partnering with Five14 for an ethical travel experience, you are giving back to the people here.

We partner with communities where exploitation is most rampant, help create job opportunities through responsible tourism, and partner with local schools to secure a brighter future for the youth.

We foster long-term relationships and projects for holistic transformation.

And you can be a part of it! You can work with our local partners in organized and sustainable projects – such as building a fish farm, teaching English, or hosting a medical camp. Together, we can make the difference between despair and hope.

Our Five14 Foundation creates jobs through micro businesses in vulnerable communities. We also help with repatriating survivors of exploitation back to Nepal and help our staff with family needs like school scholarships, child care or emergencies. By giving to Five14's Social Fund, you're helping to create a different future for people in Nepal.
