WHAT WE DO
We work in communities in Nepal that not only suffer from poverty and exploitation but also have the potential to achieve a better future and impact the area and villages surrounding them. Through adventure tourism, we are working to develop communities to give children hope and a future.
Ultimately, we are working to spark a movement that will result in Nepal being transformed into a place where potential and hope is realized.
WHY THE NAME FIVE14?
We want to take on the toughest challenges. Rock climbing routes are classified on a scale and 5.14 is one of the hardest ratings. For rafting, a category five rapid is the most difficult.
Although all Five14 adventure tours range from super easy (take a ride in an air conditioned jeep through the jungle) to more strenuous (trek where others don’t, stay with families, and learn to cook on wood fires), we like the grading scale of Five and 14, because doing anything in Nepal is an adventure!
PREVENTING HUMAN EXPLOITATION
Children between the ages of five and 14 are at the highest risk for exploitation. We focus our efforts so kids can grow up in safety, health, and one day change their communities.
Jesus said in Matthew, "You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God."
