Day 1 - Arrive
Arrive at the Kathmandu International airport and after picking up your bags and exiting the building you’ll be greeted by one of our Five14 staff, holding our signature sign for you to recognize. We’ll take you in our vehicle to our bed & breakfast. The bed & breakfast manager will welcome you, show you to your room, and share a brief orientation with you. Then just relax for the rest of the day or night while enjoying some amazing drinks from our cafe.
Day 2 - Orientation and Tour
Wake up and order a complimentary breakfast from our cafe. Afterward, you’ll meet with your guide for some basic trek preparation. Your guide will inform you of the local customs, history of the village area, show you the mapped out trekking route, and go over a simple packing list. The rest of the day we'll take you on a tour of Kathmandu, where you'll learn about the culture, religion, and social issues the people of Nepal are tackling.
Day 3 - 40 Mt Cho Oyu Climb
Day 3: Official work for expedition and briefing at the Ministry of Tourism
Day 4: Fly to Lukla (2860m) & Trek to Phak Ding (2622m)
Day 5: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m)
Day 6: Acclimatization Day
Day 7: Trek to Dole (4200m)
Day 8: Trek to Machharmo (4410m)
Day 9: Trek to Gokyo Lake (4750m)
Day 10: Acclimatization Day
Day 11: Trek to Ngozumba Tso
Day 12: Trek to Cho Oyu base camp (5400m)
Day 12- 35: Mt Cho Oyu climbing Period (8201m)
Day 36: Cleaning up base camp and trek back to Gokyo Lake (4750m)
Day 37: Trek back to Dole (4200m)
Day 38: Trek back to Namche (3440m)
Day 39: Trek back to Lukla (2860m)
Day 40: Fly back to Kathmandu and check into Five14 B&B
Day 41 - Rest and Debrief
After eating a complimentary flavorful breakfast back at our cafe, you’ll meet with one of our staff to share quick feedback on your experience. The rest of the day you’ll have time to participate in a nearby day-long adventure of mountain biking, bungee jumping, or shopping for memorable souvenirs and gifts.
Day 42 - Depart
Whenever your scheduled departure flight is, our company driver will drop you off at the Kathmandu International Airport a few hours beforehand. You’ll be able to say your last goodbyes to our staff or the new friends you’ve made during your stay and we’ll make sure you have everything you need to leave well!

- Personal expenses (ie: laundry, SIM card, charging devices at tea houses along the trail)
- Alcoholic beverages
- Meals not specified in Kathmandu
- Additional one-day adventures in or near Kathmandu
